I found a tube of my favorite lively watercolor

time to play! 

I've looked...

and looked 

at a lot of weather moving through. 

You know I really want to paint these clouds :-)

more splashing

there is a little burst of color in my yard 

so I picked a few and put them on paper

Tried a few new things 

like people,

pens, 

watercolor pencils, 

and even the iphone!

I wanted to paint a series of faces using only blue 

blue being my favorite color 

but this damsel is color-free!

Gelli fun

Ferns are back! 

Leaves

I played and made a great mess

with my little gelli plate 

and my new metallic acrylics

After all the clean up 

these were the only dry ones

Think I will be doing this again 

with a few more texture tools.

disappearing pencil lines...

 There were many lines under this first "wash" of color

perhaps a cool grey watercolor pencil was the wrong choice?

 Oh why not give it a go without the guiding lines?

I have an excellent reference photo...

Amazing how daylight  at different times changes the color of the painting

still plugging along- petal by petal

How much fun it is working on a larger scale!

This isn't an ACEO

 Almost ready to call it done but perhaps I'll wait a day 

before I do...

is something missing?
