loose moose

a moose is loose at sunset
looking to settle down for the night?

feels good to be painting again
especially since the snow is on paper
not in the yard

season change

A change in the weather always has me looking forward
I used to love the winter
how could I not?
Wonders of Christmas
and my birthday nestled in there, too.
For a child, it was a super charged season.
I loved the snow and lived where we got all we could ever want.
Ice skating and sledding any time!
I still love the look of snow,
but prefer to enjoy it from afar.

Small Town...

I love massive cloudy skies on sunny days - on stormy days - and for sunrises and sunsets.
"Village Sunset" was the result of playing with painting skies.
It shows the clouds picking up the colors from the sunset fast approaching.
Days end and a glorious color show is on deck.

Glistening Dreams

Snow More

More fun painting stark winterscapes with just a touch of iridescence on the snow.
Most definitely dreams. I live in the land of green winters.
Amen, to that!

It's my favorite...a night light :D

Lighthouse Sunset
Something that always catches my eye, a lighthouse.

Put it on a cliff and it's even better.

Why not add a sunset just for fun?

It was definitely fun painting this today.

Winter Sunset

Winter Sunset
It's getting late and you are out crunching uphill in the snow.
The shadows grow long and the colorful sky has you almost convinced it's warm.
Almost - not quite!

Hold Over?

Safe Harbor

Haven't held a brush in such a long while, I'm hoping this will hold me over for just a few more days...
I was matting and framing some of my work to strew about locally and ran across this in the closet. It was already matted and sealed in a clear envelope - just like it was destined to be sent somewhere.

I was so pleased to find it - like a lost child.

It moved me to cut some full sheets to quarters so I can begin again when all my obligations are met.

I wish I were...

Every now and again, I wish I were some place like this, quite alone and separate. Blissfully ignorant of the petty world.

Full of Small Ideas

This little Beach Sunset measures 1 1/2 x 2 inches. It's one of a series of dollhouse miniatures.
