ZIPpo

It's metal, I couldn't resist.
Very limited palette - burnt sienna, ultramarine blue
and titanium white.
I don't use white with my watercolors so the paper did that job.

Had fun and Thanks to Theresa Bayer for bringing this Challenge to light!

If somebody told me I was going to like a painting of a Zippo lighters, I'd have thought them crazy. This is a very cool painting and the limited palette contributes to its simplicity.

Love how you captured the reflections. Painting metal and glass can be difficult for many, not you, however. :-)

I love this Lee, you got the reflections perfectly and brought back some memories of the old zippos. You have done an amazing job with your limited palette.

The lighter brings back lot of fond memories of my grandfather.
Beautiful work, warm and rich.
