Spring UP
This little ACEO was painted in response to the March Quest for the Designing Artists Women's Group.
Happy to say I painted today, if even just a little bit!
Small format and ATC/ACEO original watercolor paintings by Lee Pierce.
Landscapes, seascapes, flowers and bear adventures...always watercolor and sometimes with a little something else.

In Progress - Voice your opinion
I'm working on this 5x7 watercolor as a study for a much larger piece. I can't decide on what to do for a background. Do I go for a sky blue, a mottled green. nothing at all or something else?
Here's a chance to voice your opinion. Comment with your choice. I'll consider all suggestions. If I go with your brilliant idea, I will show my gratitude appropriately.

It's my favorite...a night light :D
Lighthouse Sunset
Something that always catches my eye, a lighthouse.
Put it on a cliff and it's even better.
Why not add a sunset just for fun?
It was definitely fun painting this today.

Spring Fling
Daffodils
Yes. I saw them in the yard. OK. So right now they are merely lumpy buds but Spring is really popping up :D

Where does it lead?
A request for a field of poppies has led me to work on this 9x12 watercolor. This painting is in progress but managed to cheer me in spite of a bout with a nasty virus.
Hope to be back with the brushes soon!

Spring
This little abstract landscape was created by request. A field of flowers is just what I need to celebrate Spring!

Where is Spring?
Waiting for Spring
We must be getting closer...there's sun today and the mountain is out :D
Yup, I can see Mt St Helens across the river!
The little painting was a study for this 9x12
Where is Spring?
The paints were the same, isn't it amazing the difference a paper makes? The little one is on Arches 140# CP and the larger is Kilimanjaro 140# CP.

I found a bunch of crocuses in the yard today...I'm hopeful that my deck will soon look like this.

Tiny Little Paintings
Twins
These little 2x2 original watercolors are in magnet frames to pop on the fridge or file cabinet or steelcase office furniture wall.
Acorn
I still envision them as just a little bit of art at work.

It isn't all black and white or a...
Piece of Cake
The Watercolor WNW challenge for January involved choosing items from a selection of black and white photos.
Food being one of my favorite things certainly made the choice easier. Still wishing I had a "real" piece of that chocolate cake!
