Tiny Little Paintings

Twins

These little 2x2 original watercolors are in magnet frames to pop on the fridge or file cabinet or steelcase office furniture wall.

Acorn

I still envision them as just a little bit of art at work.

It isn't all black and white or a...

Piece of Cake

The Watercolor WNW challenge for January involved choosing items from a selection of black and white photos.

Food being one of my favorite things certainly made the choice easier. Still wishing I had a "real" piece of that chocolate cake!

A Bouquet for Valentine's Day?

Alstroemeria, Fiction and a Snack

This ACEO originated from an Inspiration photo posted in the Columbia Arts Guild blog.
I managed to eat up the entire month and so the 9x12 in progress would not be completed by the end of the month.

Mighty Oak

Maybe not right now but it has that potential.
This little 2x2 original watercolor is in a magnet frame to pop on the fridge or file cabinet or steelcase office furniture wall. Just a little bit of art at work...HMMMM.

Maybe Next Year...

Someone I love is having a birthday...and this wishful thought is appropriate.

If anybody told me I'd be painting football helmets in watercolor, I'd have recommended a brain check.

OK, I had fun drawing and painting this "still life" :D

Get a whiff of this!

My favorite flower and I wish I could create a "scratch and sniff" watercolor!

Maybe if you get close enough you can get a whiff of this...

Home

Home
The entire time I was away in the cold and frosty Northeast I thought of my home in the Pacific NW.
It was a nice trip and I had fun with my daughter and her family but I missed the green, mild and sometimes wet ( :D ) weather at home.
This little painting is how I remember my first trip to Oregon several years ago.

A Small Start to the New Year

Back home and back to painting. Found a few 2x2 magnet frames and decided to give small a try. Here's a cardinal after the fat little one I watched back east.
With all the snow, he was scrambling for a spot out of the weather and looking for a snack.

So happy to be back in the land of ferns and moss!
