Felicitations

I'm still at it and will be carrying on with greetings for several more days (if not weeks) It's great to be able to take the orchids out of the window and pop them on my table to paint.










This was a good year for the orchids. They bloomed to welcome my house guests and now do a little portrait sitting.













I must also give a nod to the beach lovers celebrating a birthday. This is a beach in the Abacos.

Just one -

Here's just one flower from the yellow/orange/coral primrose. Things just don't always go according to plan but they sure go!
Working on the bunch and hope to be able to post it here.

Summer is over and these bright little plants give me a boost.

I'm not so sure.
They look pretty fu fu to me!
I was stunned by the flower volume and variety on just one plant.
Just wait, there's another on my table with yellow and peach flowers all fluffy and whirly petaled like this.
What fun!

A Little Bird...

Another backyard visitor, the NW version of a blue jay. This Stellar Jay is only one of a bunch that hang out in my trees and buzz around the yard.

Wild and enjoying Oregon

Blue Botanicals
Baby Blue Eyes and Columbine grow wild in Oregon and I extend them an invitation to my yard. My garden books claim they thrive in Southern Oregon but I've seen both in my neck of the woods and I've even had a relative of Baby Blue Eyes (Five Spot) pop up in a window box.
I remain hopeful!

Seems like ages since I picked up a brush so a little painting gets me back in the swing.
