Zoo Painting

It's been a long slow process but I finally quit.

These were the flowers I found at the Zoo.

This is a little bigger than my norm. It's a bit over 10 x 14 and all watercolors.

Unwinding....

 

 
Been a little tightly wound of late and needed to escape.

These flowers never impressed me before, did a large painting of their multicolored leaves years ago, Never in the right place at the right time, I guess. Found them at the zoo and the light must've been just right. Flowers are vibrant orange and the buds are purple/magenta with orange bits popping out.
