Doodle fun

Oh it was too hard to resist a doodle pack
from copic
how handy to have some markers, a liner and a little sparkle pen
in one kit
just calling to be used
I added my pitt pens just to see a little more color
and had fun on stonehenge paper!

Something else...

My First Album
made from paper lunch bags

I saw one made where the bottoms of the bags are glued together and make little flaps
or pockets inside the album.

The bags provide an accordion effect that allows
for bulk inside the album without strain on the binding.

Yes Blue is my favorite color
so I went with a winter theme.

Here you can see the ribbon I used to bind the bags together to make the book.

I used 6 lunch bags

In pairs

Back of the book
Here you can see a little of the binding.
That part took me awhile to figure out.

I am happy I gave this a try and even started another one that I like a lot better.

It's a test...

Hydrangea
I've always loved lilacs and hydrangeas. I think because they are a cluster of flowers. It also helps that they come in blues/purples.
It's been so long since I used big brushes, I had to complete a test. This painting is a quarter sheet of watercolor paper and my favorite (anything blue).
Now I'm off to work on something a little bit larger.

Maybe Soon...

Iris
Raining out so I'm painting in!

All that digging in the dirt has me aching to see some bloom...maybe soon.

Get a whiff of this!

My favorite flower and I wish I could create a "scratch and sniff" watercolor!

Maybe if you get close enough you can get a whiff of this...
