Pool Buddies

Tide Pool that is!
It has warmed up and there is Sun. I was searching through some photos I took at Cannon Beach and found a few of a tide pool at the base of haystack rock. The sea stars were coral colored in some and purplish in others. They look very similar to me - same family different mood? The anemones were mostly green and alive looking but several had a beige washed out look with spots of pink and mossy green. There was a big clear jellyfish on the sand, looking very unattractive. All the mussel shells were open and empty. Sea stars had a feast. For the fun of it, I painted this little trio.

Beautiful Lee, the star is the perfect color. How did you get your picture to enlarge and move around when you put your cursor on it? That is a very cool feature.

This is wonderful Lee. The colors you used have the feel of summer to them. The star fish looks like the one I have in my collection.

@MarleneMarlene, I listened to the recorded radio blog info on Artists Helping Artists and got a bunch of ideas and new places to go for gizmos. Spent the entire weekend fussing with the blog and not done yet, lol. Need to do a serious clean up ;^)

@maddyroseMaddy, I have a good sized collection of shells and coral and starfish but not nearly as big as some of the ones at the beach. Some are even chubby! :D Thanks for stopping by.
