pink POPPY

pink POPPY
I retreated inside today after a brief attempt to paint "en plein air" left me chilled to the bone.
Yearning to be someplace warm, I painted this little poppy. It's based on a photo shared by a wonderful artist in Watercolors Wet N Wild.

Thank You Barbara Ann!

Lovely poppy, Lee. Thanks for showing some of the progression. I learn a lot from seeing how it's done. I know what you mean about being chilled to the bone. Both Wed. and Thurs. we went hiking with our 2 grandsons and each time as we neared the end of the hike it got cold and a storm front came in and we just made it back to the Jeep in time to prevent getting drenched. I did get some neat pictures. After a hot shower and checking for ticks....ugh....a nice hot cup of coffee did the trick. Hope you have a great weekend.
