Small format and ATC/ACEO original watercolor paintings by Lee Pierce.
Landscapes, seascapes, flowers and bear adventures...always watercolor and sometimes with a little something else.
It's even foggy today although it's quite cold and there's a storm warning...perhaps we'll get some snow.
I really have had enough winter and hope to see some more signs of Spring right quick.
I remembered this trip to NY Finger Lakes wine country and this beautiful old home that was just abandoned. The trees were bare and so were the windows, it gave such an eerie feeling...like it held secrets of all the lives spent there.
Honest, I've been painting everyday, I promise. Just finished this at Midnight...5x7 on 140# Arches. I love lush greenery. Live in the perfect place, winter here means the ferns and moss are rampant.
Only 2 x 2.5 inches, this little bit is a Dollhouse miniature. An original painting, it will be placed on an artists easel (miniature) as a work in progress.
Background is an interesting choice...like the almost photo quality of a painting with a black background, sure makes the flowers pop off the paper. I like the white of the paper as well for watery watercolors. Do you have a preference?
Well, somebody is having fun in the water...or maybe just looking for a quick meal. What is fast food for Orcas? I'm afraid it consists of a mammal or a school of salmon. See you tomorrow, I hope!
Here's a strong profile... It was a start and stop process and only one of the many attempts survived. So far, so good...off to do a bit more painting and enjoy the play offs. Hope your day is enjoyable!
I finished this yesterday, although it appeared much differently in my head. The Metallic gold background neither photos or scans true to color or luster. I am off to paint again... Have a Great Day!
It's the Resolution Season...best laid plans and all that. I am hoping to paint on a daily basis. Not necessarily complete one painting a day, just paint daily. If I complete one or more little bits in a day, I will be truly blessed. If I learn something new each day, it will be a wonderful year! I only hope I can remember half of what I learn.
