Day 31 - Soaring

I guess painting wasn't exciting enough
ted is back in the air
soaring
I wonder where he'll end up next

Day 29 - Daring adventures of a neglected bear

This is just getting to be too much!
Now I am concerned for his safety.

Day 27 - Adventures of a neglected bear

The truth is my bear has grown weary of sitting on the shelf waiting for me to play with him.
So, he has taken off on his own to seek a little adventure.
While my bear buddy travels, I remain at home. (painting)

used to make these fireworks

Day 21 - Canvas Play

5x5 gallery canvas
primed with Daniel Smith Watercolor Ground
and painted with watercolors

I confess it's great fun!

Strong paint is best
lots of pigment and a little water.

Day 18 - who's counting?

Just more rain
and thaw and slides
and flooding
these little bits brighten the day.

Day 16 - Waiting

Waiting

Just like me
waiting for the rain to stop.
Could be worse,
feet of snow in my old stomping grounds!

Day 10 - All for Fun!

 Landscape Bookmark

I've been thinking about painting little strips of paper
and laminating them for bookmarks.
More curious about how they would look
and how difficult it might be.
Now that everyone has an e-reader
won't these go the way of
nice stationery and fountain pens!
 Tulip Bookmark

I still like the feel of paper pages so I can put these to use
or put a magnet on the back and hang them on the fridge.

Watercolor Fun

It's just around the corner
so i'm making a little greeting for my hunny
and playing with watercolor
wet in wet.

Day 9 - Sunup at Montezuma

It's cold again and the threat of snow looms in the near future.
I was thinking of all the wetland preserves
and wondering how everybirdy is doing...

Day 6 - almost WIP Hydrangea

Hydrangea

Thought about sharing how I got from white paper to this.
Great idea.
Then I realized I forgot to take a few photos at the start.
Here's a glimpse.

I'll try to do better tomorrow.

Day 4 - Freezy Biscuit Weather!

I've fallen and I can't get up!

In response to a different challenge to paint a polar bear
and to illustrate just how cold it is
STILL
This little guy "posed" for a portrait.
The truth is he's fallen on the slippery ice
and can't manage to get up and going again.
(his butt is getting numb)
"Freezy Biscuits" is the expression I used
to let my kids know it was cold out.
(cold enough to freeze your butt off)

Pam , this is what polar bears look like in their natural environment.
Snow and ice everywhere and temperatures that make a fur coat
a requirement for survival.

Day 3 Still COLD

Cold Day

It's day 3 and that blank piece of paper and the deep freeze overnight
brought me here!
Still painting :^)

Day 2

I've decided to give it a shot!
to paint every day for this month.

I may not finish a painting each day but if I keep them small...

One a Day! I Hope...

Tulips

Thought I'd give this a try - paint every day!

Probably a lot of in progress works but I finished this one.
Good start to the year.
